sometimes the best things take time. oftentimes if they take time it’s because they’re terrible and the person making them is too embarrassed to show it to the world.
in this case it’s not so much embarrassment as it is i haven’t done anything. chalk one up for laziness.
i wouldn’t consider it a promise broken if only because i never promised anything and nobody cares enough for breaking it to be worth discussing, but i’ll apologize all the same.

once upon a time there were two wrists.
one was lazy and rarely moved very quickly in any direction, sometimes sleeping for days or even weeks at a time. the other was highly active and exercised daily. this wrist was not the dominant wrist, but it was the favorite in the eyes of its owner. the other was merely a wrist of obligation.
one day the favored wrist woke up in immense pain. it was numb, and everything it did hurt. its owner did everything in his power to ease the wrist’s suffering, but to no avail. eventually he wrapped it in cloth, hoping that a bit of rest would do the favored wrist some good. sighing in resignation, he awoke the wrist of obligation and set it to work.
the wrist of obligation was unhappy.
the wrist of obligation was not made for menial chores.
the wrist of obligation would have its revenge.
or something markedly more nefarious.
what foul evildoers will our intrepid adventurers take on next? the evil treefolk of the northern forest? the dreaded spider-bird-dwarfs of dark mountain? a peach?
or perhaps the infamous DOOM LORD himself, ruling over all of the dark wastes from his tower of fire and fairly interesting semitransparent rocks?

this post is long. it’s a long post. i’m not actually trying to say anything with this post i’m just trying to make it as long as possible so i can work on this theme. i don’t want to just copy and paste lines though that’s a copout and i don’t want to be lazy.
this is a rad theme actually. i mean i’m really only tweaking it because i have no interest in having DANGLING ART VINES on a blog about chiptunes and glitch art and setting fire to trees just to see what sort of colors and sounds they’ll make while they’re burning down. derek punsalan’s a talented dude. i haven’t actually checked out his other themes because this one suits me just fine and i’m too lazy to actually DO ANYTHING but i’m sure if he has others they’re cool too.
